Tuan Mai wins $199K in Bicycle Casino Mega Millions XX
Many congratulations head the way of Tuan Mai who beat Cody Bell to take home first prize in the final event of the Mega Millions XX.
The 2 agreed on a deal when heads-up meaning Bell took home a nice payday too of $174,615.
There was a week and a half of qualifiers plus players could still buy-in on day two. This allowed for a total of 7,500 entries and a prize pool of $1,457,635.
Mai did well to outlast the field and add to his prior career earnings of $575,310. It more than doubled his previous best win of $84,057 in the 2017 Planet Hollywood Goliath Warm-Up $1,500 Main Event.
He certainly bossed the final table, owning more than half the chips when it became 5-handed.
“It feels amazing, it feels great,” Mai commented after his win. “I fired the last bullet I wasn’t even supposed to play the tournament. And I took it down.
“A few of my buddies played and I was on my way back to Vegas for the $1,700 Bally Main Event and I told my girlfriend this is probably a better prize pool so I played it. I only had $250 on me, so my buddy had to lend me $300 to get in. And I didn’t pack enough clothes I’ve been wearing this for three days!”
The final table ended up like this:
