Daniel Mayoh wins first event of Aussie Millions 2019

Our congratulations go to Daniel Mayoh from Australia who has become the first winner of the Aussie Millions 2019 by winning event 2, the $2,500 H.O.R.S.E.

He overcame a field of 54 to take home the first prize of AUD$ 29,120.

In only his 2nd Aussie Millions event, he came out on top after the final 3 agreed a deal and also wins an ANTON Jewellery Championship Ring.

“It’s been a lot of fun,” Mayoh said. “I feel very blessed and very lucky. I think all of us were all in and drawing at some point of the day, myself included. This was a very tough final table – any of the seven of us had the skills to win it.”

Srdjan Brkicfinished 3rd at this event in 2014, he bettered that here with a runners-up spot and AUD$27,500 in prize money.

H.O.R.S.E tournaments are a real test of poker skills as they involved 5 very different versions of poker, mostly – as in this case – at Limit as opposed to No Limit. They are made up of Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo.

Other players to make the money included Timothy Marsters, Lee Nelson and the only non-Australian on the final table, Michael Moore.

Final table positions were as follows:

Place Name Country Payout (AUD) Payout (USD)
1 Daniel Mayoh Australia $29,120 $20,929*
2 Srdjan Brkic Australia $27,500 $19,765*
3 Timothy Marsters Australia $26,000 $18,687*

5 Billy ‘The Croc’ Argyros Australia $9,720 $6,986
6 Lee Nelson Australia $8,505 $6,113
7 Luke Edwards Australia $7,290 $5,239

*denotes a 3 way deal which saw Marsters guaranteed AUD$26,000, Brkic AUD$25,000 and Mayoh AUD$24,000 with AUD$5,500 extra for the winner and AUD$2,500 for 2nd place.
