The GCOP is almost here

If you have ever fancied a trip to Germany, a good excuse is just around the corner.

The German Championship of Poker takes place at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov, which is actually 5 minutes from the German border in the Czech Republic. A good excuse to take in 2 different countries if ever there was one…

It starts on August 18th, ending on the 22nd and forms part of the Bavaria Poker Cup that starts on the 15th.

The GCOP is an €888 entry event which has a €200,000 guarantee. There are multiple starting flights, with 60-minute levels and a 30,000 starting stack at blinds of 50/100. Unlimited re-entries are allowed for the event, and last year a total of 343 took part. This year is unlikely to be any different with big numbers expected in part due to the player-friendly structure.

Before the GCOP takes place, the Bavaria Cup, a €110 event with €100,000 in guarantees, will run. There’s also a €1,888 Eight-Max High Roller on the schedule in the days after the GCOP gets going.

The full schedule can be found here.

Good luck to any LateReg readers that are attending!
